2014–2018 Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel | Fish SOTF Switch

This is new release and may not work correctly on all years of ecodiesel.

2014–2018 Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel Fish SOTF Switch Install

Disconnect the battery before doing any wiring.
Remove the negative terminal and make sure the key is fully off before routing or tapping any wires.
Mount the switch in the cab in a clean, easy-to-reach spot.
A dash blank, lower knee panel, or similar trim panel is the best place. Fish says its switches include the knob, decal, split loom, and install hardware, and the common LML install flow starts by mounting the switch inside the truck first.
Route the two switch wires through the firewall into the engine bay.
My best guess is to use a factory grommet the same way LML installs commonly use the hood-latch grommet: feed a trace wire through, tape the switch wires to it, and pull them through carefully without pinching the insulation.
Locate the fuel filter housing / fuel-temperature circuit.
On the EcoDiesel, fuel-temperature sensor is integrated into the fuel-filter housing, and the fuel-temp signal starts at the fuel-filter connector on the brown and green wires and runs to the top ECM connector, pins 65 and 87.
Wiring path: connect one switch lead to each of the two fuel-temp circuit wires at the fuel-filter connector or at the matching ECM signal pair.
Tap the two wires rather than cut the factory circuit. Use Posi-Taps or a proper solder-and-seal method. Do not fully cut factory wires. Fish says the 2-wire switch itself is not polarity-sensitive, so the two switch leads do not need a specific left/right orientation.
Secure the wiring and reassemble everything.
Loom the switch wires, keep them away from heat and sharp edges, and make sure nothing is strained at the firewall or near the fuel-filter housing.
Reconnect the battery and verify operation before driving.
With the key on and engine off, Fish says a 2-wire switch can be checked with a meter across the switch wires: position 1 is usually around 5V, and voltage should drop as you rotate toward position 5.

Special Shipping Information

Alaska and Hawaii:
Orders shipping to Alaska and Hawaii must select 2nd Day Air. Overnight shipping may not be available for remote areas, and these locations may experience longer delivery times than stated.
Remote Areas:
Some remote areas in Canada and other regions may incur additional shipping costs. If additional fees apply, we will notify you, and your order will be shipped once the extra shipping cost is paid.
International Shipping:

Returns Policy

General Return Policy:
Due to the specialized nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns. Most items are VIN-specific or custom-built to order.
Defective Items:
We only accept exchanges for defective items. We recommend professional installation for these items. If a product is defective and cannot be exchanged or repaired, a refund of the original purchase price will be issued upon receipt of proof of malfunction or damage.
Return Exceptions:
In certain cases, we may make exceptions for returns. If your return request is approved, a 30% restocking fee will be applied. All items must be returned in their original packaging, and return shipping costs will not be refunded.
Cancellations:
All sales are final. If you cancel your order after it has been placed but before it has shipped, a 5% processing fee will apply.
Non-Returnable Items:
Certain items, such as hard parts (e.g., EGR kits, DPF pipes/exhaust, pyro kits, throttle valve kits, exhaust tips, and intakes), are not eligible for return unless an exception is made. If an exception is granted, a 30% restocking fee will be applied, along with the cost of return shipping.
